At the Paris Air Show 2019 aerospace know-how, business and investment opportunities from Piemonte-Italy
From 17th to 23rd June, Piemonte is back at the International Paris Air Show to showcase its latest aerospace innovations and investment openings.
Italy is one of the leaders in the field of aerospace and Piemonte, Italian North-Western region, has indeed a lot to say. During the International Paris Air Show coming up in the next days (17-23 June, Le Bourget Airport), Piemonte stand promoted by Piemonte Regional Government at the AIAD/MOD Italian Pavilion, Hall 1 - Stand E-318/F-318, is the place to be for b2b meetings, presentations and technical workshops.
At the Piemonte booth, international players can appreciate the high level of the regional aerospace industry through an exhibition path that shows the skills represented by 35 companies. These enterprises supply innovative and integrated solutions also thanks to their aggregation capacity and cooperation with world leaders located in Piemonte such as Leonardo, Thales Alenia Space, Avio Aero, Collins Aerospace and ALTEC.
On June 18th at 11.00 am the round table Evolution in supply chain relationships: innovation and clustering as “must haves” for global market leadership will host SMEs and large companies active in Piemonte to deepen into the new methods of collaboration between companies and players to be competitive on international markets. This event is the first step leading to Aerospace & Defense Meetings, the 7th edition of the only international business convention for the aerospace industry organized in Italy to be host in Torino on 26-27 November. In just 2 days, all participating companies will have the chance to meet and build up targeted business relations and developing new projects with enterprises from all over the world. For big players and primes this is a unique occasion to optimize time in the research of new suppliers and solutions. In addition, common plenary sessions will be organized, as well as round tables on the most debated topics about aerospace from both industry and academia.
Piemonte is a land of opportunities both for business and investment. Piemonte subsidy system is in fact one of the richest and most effective among the European developed regions and focuses on research and innovation, manufacturing, sustainability, energy efficiency, and pays particular attention to the aerospace sector. Piemonte Regional Government deploys a package of measures financed by the European Regional Development Fund and by other regional and national funds, designed to support the creation and the strengthening of research centers and start-ups, the transfer of technological know-how, the research on technological international hot topics. The ERDF 2014-2020 programming alone in total is worth around 1 billion €. Worth mentioning are the Regional Investment Contract for R&D initiatives related to new investments in R&D centers, plants or service centers and the Aerospace Technology Platform for cooperative R&D projects focused on four key topics among which there is Space Economy with a dedicated budget of 15 million € as Piemonte Regional Government signed the Multiregional Cooperation Program in the framework of the National Space Economy plan.
