Torino Aerospace & Defense Meetings is the only international business convention for the aerospace industry organized in Italy. The 7th edition is back in Torino-Italy on 27-28 November 2019. It is a global and cross-sectorial event that offers to the aerospace community coming from all over the world the possibility, in 2 days only, to build up targeted business relations, explore investment opportunities, develop innovative projects, be updated on the latest technological achievements, trends and purchasing policies, optimizing time in researching new suppliers, innovations and products.
Since its first edition in 2008, Aerospace & Defense Meetings has been recording remarkable figures, consolidating Piemonte and its regional supply chain as a quality business destination for foreign investments and as the ultimate business platform for the aerospace industry: 38,500 b2b meetings, 4,240 participants from 35 countries, 6 plenary conferences that dealt with strategic issues and more than 120 thematic workshops and OEMs procurement & supply chain policy sessions.
Cross-sectoriality and innovative patents will be the 2019 edition focus themes developed in the exhibition zone: for investors it is an exceptional occasion to discover new competitive investment opportunities also in terms of large research projects. Technologies and products that can be applied in the aerospace field developed by Piemonte’s SMEs operating in sectors not only or not mainly related to aerospace, such as the cleantech, automotive, mechatronics, health and wellness, textiles, clothing, design sectors will have a dedicated exhibiting area. Patents and innovative projects proposed by the prestigious regional based academies - Politecnico di Torino, University of Torino, University of Eastern Piemonte - and their most innovative start-ups will demonstrate the region’s capacity and know-how in terms of R&D and innovation in design and invention patenting offering ideas and solutions ready to be developed and implemented.
Global leaders like Airbus, Boeing, AVIC, Bombardier, Elbit, IAI, Rafael, Aerosud, Denel, Paramount, Superjet-Sukhoi, TAI, Nexteam, Weare, Aerovodochody, the EACP European Cluster, the South African CAMASA cluster have already confirmed their presence together the key players and the large industry based in Piemonte: Leonardo reconfirmed its patronage together with Thales Alenia Space, Avio Aero and Collins Aerospace.
