Dream hypercars born and made in Piemonte-Italy: when speed and performance meet style, design and engineering
lf the 4 wheels dream set on fire millions of hearts in the world, it was also thanks to Piemonte car designers: Pininfarina, Italdesign, Giugiaro and Bertone signed the style of some the most amazing cars produced by major manufacturers of sport and hypercars, including Lamborghini and Ferrari. Not to forget the talent in luxury car manufacturing and the high competences shown by many Piemonte suppliers - many of which gravitate around the big player Maserati located in Torino - that are the buttonhole of a unique and esteemed tradition.
Piemonte is a forerunner when new automotive trends are concerned and in the creation of exceptional vehicles that are highly performing and extremely prestigious. Just a few non-exhaustive examples are the Deus Vayanne, a limited edition hypercar designed by ltaldesign-Giugiaro, in cooperation with Williams Advanced Engineering and DEUS Automobiles, the Aspark Owl and Apollo Intensa Emozione, designed and produced by MAT Manifattura Automobili Torino and Automobili Pininfarina with its super performing electric hypercar Pininfarina Battista. Based on iconic old models are the Fiat 124, the reinterpretation of the Fiat 124 Spider, the Alfa Romeo 4C Mole and Almas, tailor-made version of one of the most fascinating sports cars ever produced, both by Mole Costruzione Artigianale and Lancia X037 by Kimera Automobili.
The latter is precisely a distinctive example of Piemonte's competences and technologies in the field of "restomod" vehicles - i.e. small niche of classic cars, restored far beyond their original glory through the addition of contemporary components, technologies, connectivity and solutions. The objective is to give to the driving experience a newfound elegance and sensations behind the wheel that are becoming increasingly rare. Another fundamental attraction of historic cars that have become the object of scrupulous restoration, is the set of perceptive uniqueness transmitted by the charm of history, magnificent craftsmanship and performance comparable to those of the latest generation of sports cars. Other "Restomod" projects developed in Piemonte are the new Lancia Stratos - the modern version of the legendary Lancia car that in the 70's was the undisputed star of rally competitions - by Manifattura Automobili Torino and the BMW Garmish by Superstile.
To top it all, in Piemonte hypercar design and production can rely on a supply chain providing high-performance components and engineering services such as the electric powertrain by Texa E-Powertrain, vehicle engineering and prototyping by Danisi and Beyond and Bylogix’s electronic engineering.

The first zero-emission ltalian sports hypercar is made in Piemonte: it is the fully electric Pininfarina Battista that is completely hand-assembled in the Automobili Pininfarina plant in Cambiano, in the Torino hinterland. Battista's design is the perfect synthesis between shape and function. The vehicle is power-driven by four permanent magnet electric motors, one per wheel, powered by a liquid cooled 120 kWh lithium-ion battery. lts performances are amazing: zero-hundred km/h covered in less than 2 seconds and a more impressive 0-300 km/h in less than 12 seconds.
