Revolv Space is a space technology startup based in Italy and the Netherlands. Founded in 2022 by alumni of Politecnico di Milano and TU Delft, the company develops and manufactures mechanisms and solar arrays for small satellites. Currently, Revolv Space team counts 15 employees from 10 different nationalities. The startup is supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) through its Business Incubation Centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, and has recently raised a €2.6 million investment to accelerate the development and in-orbit demonstration of its flagship product, SARA, a device to orient solar arrays toward the sun in an autonomous and fail-safe manner. Revolv Space aims to meet the growing demand for high-performance satellite components by offering affordable and high-quality solutions. The company has established a new headquarters in Turin, Italy, one of Europe's major hubs in the space sector.

The project in Piemonte

The opening of the Torino office marks the beginning of an ambitious expansion project. Revolv Space plans to add 9 new staff to the team in the first year of operations, focusing mainly on research and development of advanced mechanical systems for small satellites. This investment not only consolidates the company's presence in Europe, but also strengthens Torino's role as a hub of excellence in the aerospace industry.

The choice of Piemonte, and Torino in particular, is in fact not random. The city stands out as a strategic hub in the Space sector, hosting prominent multinationals such as Thales Alenia Space and Leonardo, as well as several emerging companies. On the other hand, the automotive supply chain will allow Revolv Space to leverage existing know-how in the region to create strategic partnerships with suppliers, boosting the company’s growth. This concentration of expertise and innovation creates an ideal ecosystem for the development of space technologies, offering Revolv Space the opportunity to collaborate with excellent partners and tap into a highly specialized talent pool.
