Within this context, the Torino site of Thales Alenia Space stands as one of the world’s leading centres of excellence for the design and production of orbital habitation infrastructures, space transportation systems, robotic exploration solutions for the Solar System, and highly sophisticated scientific satellites. Here, the production of pressurized modules for space exploration—from the Spacelab program to the International Space Station, and now the latest Lunar Gateway modules and the Artemis program—combines with unique expertise in complex space systems engineering, positioning Torino as a global reference point for exploration and scientific missions.
The Piemonte site also serves as a bridge between industry and academia, thanks to strong collaborations with Politecnico di Torino, national and international universities, as well as local start-ups and SMEs engaged in developing high-innovation solutions.
