The Exploration Company opens its first Italian headquarters in Piemonte to develop the engineering of space capsules for future explorations.
The Exploration Company is a German scale up for spacecraft manufacturing. Based in Munich (Germany) and Bordeaux (France) and with an overall workforce of more than 130 employees, the company develops, manufactures and operates the Nyx space capsule for Space Agencies and Stations and for both Space and non-Space companies. Although the company's first missions will be cargo ones, Nyx is designed to ultimately carry humans.
The project in Piemonte
The Exploration Company chose Piemonte for its competences in the aerospace industry, for the presence of top companies that can be part of its supply chain and for the Politecnico di Torino. At the beginning of 2024 the company opened its first Italian branch in Torino, an engineering office that intends to employ 15-20 professional by the end of the year. In the next future, part of the assembly might be moved to Torino.
