Torino, November 7, 2025 – Following the success of its first edition, the International Cinema & Audiovisual Business Days returned from November 5 to 7, once again connecting the best of Piemonte’s audiovisual industry with international producers and key players from around the world. Organized by Piemonte Agency within the framework of “ICT” Integrated Supply Chain Project of Regione Piemonte, co-funded by the ERDF 2021–2027, the initiative aims to strengthen Piemonte’s role as a strategic hub for film and audiovisual production, fostering stronger ties with foreign markets, attracting new projects, and showcasing the region’s know-how and creative excellence.

A total of 210 B2B meetings took place in Torino between 14 companies from Piemonte’s film and audiovisual sector and 15 leading international players, including producers and investors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and Poland. Among the international participants were major names such as Bridge + Tunnel Productions, DOR Film, Frenzy Films, House Media Company, Hurricane Films, Midnight Odyssey Productions, Morse Code Group, Over The Fence Films, Paradox House, Ripple World Pictures, SC Productions Inc., Ten Ten Global Media, and Vellichor Films. Particularly noteworthy was the presence of Entertainment Media Ventures / Hollywood Ventures Group and 3SIX9 Studios, involved both as producers and as venture capital investors — a clear signal of the growing interest in Torino and Piemonte’s production ecosystem.

Regione Piemonte President Alberto Cirio, together with Regional Councillors Marina Chiarelli (Culture) and Andrea Tronzano (Productive Activities), emphasized that “Piemonte today is a center of excellence where culture, business, and innovation converge to create value. The audiovisual industry is one of the most dynamic and strategic sectors of our regional economy — one that combines the creativity of our talents with the technological and production capabilities of our enterprises. The International Cinema & Audiovisual Business Days embody this vision: an event that strengthens Piemonte’s position as a reference point for both national and international productions, capable of attracting investment, skills, and new growth opportunities. The Region is firmly committed to supporting a supply chain that generates employment, innovation, and widespread development, fostering collaboration between public and private sectors, connections between culture and industry, and the advancement of new skills and training pathways. Over the years, this commitment has grown stronger, recognizing in this sector not only a powerful tool of cultural and territorial promotion, but also a concrete driver of economic and occupational growth. In recent years, Regione Piemonte has actively supported the entire value chain — from production and post-production to internationalization — while also investing in the modernization of cinema facilities.”
“Between 2023 and 2025,” they recalled, “over €21 million have been allocated to support productions, infrastructures, and cinema networks, with the goal of attracting investments, strengthening local expertise, and generating a stable, high-quality industry. This commitment confirms Piemonte as one of Italy’s most vibrant regions in the audiovisual field — fully capable of competing on the European and global stage. Behind every film, series, and production made in Piemonte lies a system of skills, infrastructure, and professionals working together to promote the region and make it competitive on international markets. With Piemonte Agency and the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, we are building an internationalization model that goes beyond exporting projects: it focuses on creating long-term relationships, co-productions, and creative and industrial networks.”

“In the past two years, we have strengthened ties with leading international players in the audiovisual world,” explained Dario Peirone, Chairman of Piemonte Agency. “Through a detailed mapping of more than 100 SMEs active in digital solutions, we have organized over 500 B2B meetings between Piemonte-based companies and international partners. The selection of participants for this year’s International Cinema & Audiovisual Business Days reflects a targeted effort at major international industry events such as Cannes’ Marché du Film and Berlin’s European Film Market. As a result, we have doubled the number of international participants and tripled B2B meetings compared to last year.”

The Piemonte companies had the opportunity to meet with producers, executive producers, and firms specialized in post-production and visual effects (VFX), initiating discussions on potential collaborations for ongoing projects with budgets ranging from €6 to €16 million, currently seeking co-production partners from Piemonte. For the international delegation, the event also offered an exclusive opportunity to experience the region’s full film production ecosystem firsthand. The B2B program was complemented by an educational tour organized in collaboration with Film Commission Torino Piemonte, following the successful joint initiatives during the Berlin and Cannes festivals. The tour included a location scouting session, allowing participants to discover and appreciate the vast filming opportunities offered by Torino and Piemonte.

Indeed, Piemonte provides an extraordinary diversity of cinematic settings — from urban landscapes to lakes, countryside, mountains, historical residences, and natural environments — catering to the most varied creative needs of international filmmakers. Adding to this appeal are cutting-edge facilities such as the new multi-purpose production space in Torino, recently established by six local companies and home to four production firms and two equipment rental providers specializing in cameras and film technology. This innovative hub stands as a tangible example of how the entire cinematic value chain is now fully active and rooted in Piemonte.
