Piemonte returns to the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, the largest trade event in the United States for the food and beverage industry. Live cooking demonstrations, tastings, and business networking opportunities will spotlight the excellence of Made in Piemonte agrifood products, as the region continues to rank among Italy's leading exporters to the U.S. market.

Torino, June 28, 2026 - Piemonte returns to the spotlight at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, North America's premier B2B event dedicated to the food and beverage industry. From June 28 to 30, a delegation of 17 Piemonte-based companies - including leading manufacturers, businesses exhibiting through their U.S. commercial partners, and companies participating in the Agrifood Integrated Supply Chain Project - will showcase the region's quality, innovation, and heritage to the American market. Their participation further reinforces Piemonte's long-standing presence at the event, where the region has exhibited for eleven consecutive editions.
The participation of companies within the Agrifood Integrated Supply Chain Project is organized by Piemonte Agency as part of the internationalization initiatives promoted by Regione Piemonte (Regional Government) and funded by the 2021–2027 ERDF Regional Programme.

The Piemonte delegation is led by Alberto Cirio, President of Regione Piemonte,
and Paolo Bongioanni, Regional Councillor for Agriculture and Food, underscoring both the strategic importance of the event and the Region's strong commitment to the U.S. market, which remains the leading non-European destination for Piemonte's agrifood exports. This mission reaffirms Regione Piemonte's ongoing support for businesses pursuing international growth and promoting the excellence of the region's food and agricultural production.

The Summer Fancy Food Show provides a strategic platform to present Piemonte as both a land of outstanding agrifood excellence and an attractive destination for investment. This unique combination continues to resonate with the U.S. market, where interest in premium regional products and business opportunities across the food and beverage sector continues to grow.

Alberto Cirio, President of Regione Piemonte, said: "Our mission to New York is part of the strong and enduring trade relationship that Piemonte continues to build with the United States. As part of the Italian delegation, we will participate in the Summer Fancy Food Show alongside Italy's Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida. Our presence also sends a clear message at a time of recent diplomatic challenges: our confidence in the American people remains unchanged, just as Americans' appreciation for our products continues to be as strong as ever. With this spirit, nearly twenty companies will represent many of Piemonte's finest food and wine producers, supported by export figures that once again confirm Piemonte's outstanding international performance, with export growth continuing to outpace the national average."

Paolo Bongioanni, Regional Councillor for Trade, Agriculture and Food, Tourism, Sport and Post-Olympic Legacy, Hunting and Fishing, and Parks, added: "The United States has a deep appreciation for Italy and its cuisine, which this year was recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and for the culinary traditions of Piemonte, with its remarkable range of outstanding agri-food products. At the Summer Fancy Food Show, visitors will have the opportunity to discover these specialties paired with our prestigious DOC and DOCG wines, including Asti, named Italy's Wine of the Year 2026. For the first time, we are also bringing the Cuneo Chestnut Fair overseas, following its recent recognition as an international event. More than storytelling or promotional videos, it is the direct sensory experience of tasting that transforms every visitor into our most authentic ambassador through word of mouth. Through the 'Piemonte Is – Piemonte Excellence' brand, we showcase the inseparable connection between our products and the land from which they originate, bringing together gastronomy and tourism in a single, compelling narrative."

Andrea Tronzano, Regional Councillor for Productive Activities, Internationalization and Investment Attraction, said: "The Summer Fancy Food Show is a strategic showcase for strengthening Piemonte's presence in one of the world's most important markets. Every company that expands its footprint in the United States generates value, employment, and economic growth back home. Regione Piemonte continues to invest in internationalization, as demonstrated by the €27 million allocated to the 2026–2029 Integrated Supply Chain Projects and the 871 regional SMEs that have applied to participate. Internationalization remains one of the most effective tools for enhancing the competitiveness of Piemonte's productive system. Our export performance confirms that our products, expertise, and businesses are fully capable of competing at the highest international level. Our role is to support companies as they enter new markets while creating the conditions that encourage an increasing number of investors to choose Piemonte as a place to grow and succeed."

Stefano Nigro, General Manager of Piemonte Agency, said: "For the first time, we have brought together all Piemonte stakeholders participating in the Summer Fancy Food Show as part of a coordinated strategy to strengthen the visibility and international recognition of our regional agri-food offering. For Piemonte Agency, the Summer Fancy Food Show is far more than a trade exhibition. It is an opportunity to build lasting relationships and create new business opportunities that we will continue to develop in the months ahead, both through the Integrated Supply Chain Projects and our foreign direct investment promotion activities."

With both the Winter Edition - which Piemonte attended in San Diego this past January - and the Summer Edition in New York, the Fancy Food Shows rank among the world's leading trade events for the agrifood industry. The Summer Fancy Food Show, in particular, is the premier U.S. B2B exhibition dedicated to specialty foods and beverages. Each year, it showcases thousands of new products and attracts exclusively qualified industry professionals - including buyers, producers, distributors, and brokers - for three days of networking, business meetings and product discovery. The 2025 edition confirmed the event's global reach, featuring 2,500 brands, more than 13,000 attendees (+14%), 8,100 buyers (+9%), 24 international pavilions, and delegations from 56 countries.

Within this strategic setting for the international expansion of agrifood businesses, Piemonte is presenting itself to the U.S. market with an offering that combines quality, tradition, and innovation. At New York's Javits Center, participating companies will showcase a selection of products reflecting the diversity and excellence of the region: from sweet and savory baked goods to soft drinks, fruit juices, confectionery, and premium-quality flours for pizza, pasta, and pastry making.

Enhancing Piemonte's presence, the regional stand within the Italian Pavilion will host a program of live tastings designed to give buyers and visitors a firsthand experience of the region's culinary heritage. The menu, developed in collaboration with the Regional Association of Piemonte Chefs and prepared by Chef Luca Ferrero using products from the companies exhibiting in the Piemonte collective stand as well as leading Piemonte food producers attending the show, features both traditional and contemporary creations. Highlights include Carnaroli risotto with Gorgonzola DOP, finished with truffle pearls and crispy truffle chips; chestnut gnocchi with Robiola di Roccaverano DOP and Amaretti di Mombaruzzo; and crispy polenta crostini topped with peperonata and giardiniera. Visitors will also enjoy protein breadsticks served with aged spicy Gorgonzola and truffle, Nocciola Piemonte IGP, and iconic Piemonte desserts such as Baci di Dama, artisanal chocolate, zabaione, and Chantilly cream, alongside more contemporary offerings including blueberry brioche with mascarpone cream.
The tasting experience will be complemented by a curated selection of Piemonte DOC and DOCG wines - including Arneis, Nebbiolo, Asti Spumante, and Moscato d'Asti - providing an authentic expression of the region's extraordinary food and wine heritage.

Piemonte's mission to New York will also feature a territorial promotion event hosted at the Consulate General of Italy, dedicated to showcasing Castagna Cuneo IGP and the 27th National Chestnut Fair. The initiative will bring together a delegation from the Cuneo area and further strengthen the international promotion of Piemonte's agri-food excellence and tourism assets.

Piemonte-U.S.: Trade and Investment
The food and beverage sector is a strategic pillar of Piemonte's economy. In 2025, the region's exports in the sector exceeded €9.6 billion, making food and beverages the third-largest export category and marking a 7.7% increase over 2024. This performance further strengthens Piemonte's position among Italy's leading food-exporting regions, with the United States as its largest non-European market of export destination, despite the impact of import tariffs.
Driven by the outstanding reputation and premium quality of its agri-food products, Piemonte continues to achieve strong results in the U.S. market. According to ISTAT data, the region's agri-food exports to the United States exceeded €740 million in 2025, representing growth of more than 9% compared with 2023 and generating a trade surplus of 570%. Piemonte now accounts for 10% of Italy's total food and beverage exports to the United States, placing it among the country's leading regional exporters to the American market.

The long-standing relationship between Piemonte and the United States in the agrifood sector is also reflected in the presence of major multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Mondelēz and Cargill, all of which operate production facilities and integrated manufacturing activities within the region's supply chains.
Mondelēz International operates two production sites in Piemonte: the facility in Capriata d'Orba (Alessandria Province), which manufactures iconic biscuit and snack brands including Oro Saiwa, Tuc, Ritz, and Cipster; and the plant in Caramagna Piemonte (Cuneo Province), historically associated with dairy production and the Fattorie Osella brand, representing a significant manufacturing hub for the sector.
Cargill is present through its production site in Cherasco (Cuneo Province), where it is engaged in grain and oilseed trading as well as the production of food ingredients, animal nutrition products, cocoa, and cocoa-derived ingredients, playing an important role within international agri-food supply chains.
Over the years, Coca-Cola HBC Italia has further strengthened its presence in Piemonte by supporting thousands of direct and indirect jobs while investing in strategic production and logistics facilities. In 2019, the company acquired the historic Lurisia brand, including its production plant in Roccaforte Mondovì (Cuneo Province), renowned for its premium mineral waters and iconic Italian soft drinks such as Chinotto, Gazzosa, Aranciata, and Limonata. Complementing this industrial presence is the CircularPET facility in Gaglianico (Biella Province), a state-of-the-art plant specializing in food-grade PET recycling and the production of recycled material for new beverage bottles, contributing to the development of an increasingly sustainable and circular packaging supply chain.
