Diversity Management and Integration: Competences of Migrants on the labour market
Objective:
to foster the economic integration of migrants valorizing their peculiarities and competences, as well as optimizing their positive impact on company competitiveness
Territorial scope:
Italian regions of Emilia-Romagna, Lombardia, Piemonte, Puglia, Veneto
Beneficiaries:
- Economic bodies: companies and labor market organizations (social partners, trade associations, chambers of commerce ...)
- Professionals in the field of immigration and work (third sector, employment centers, employment agencies, guidance centers, training agencies, reception centers and integration ...)
- Migrants and their associations
Period:
September 2018 – December 2021
Actions:
Exchange of good practices on migrants’ valorization
- Mapping and dissemination of good corporate practices of Diversity Management (DM) and on the inclusion of human resources with migration background
- Inter-institutional and multi-stakeholder tables
- Awareness campaign and training on DM strategies
Strengthening of methodologies and tools for the evaluation of migrants' soft skills
- Development of methods and tools for the identification and evaluation of migrants' soft skills
- Construction of a repertoire of soft skills linked to the migratory experience and spent on the labor market
Dissemination of a Diversity Management business culture
- Seminars and workshops to raise awareness on the value of diversity as a strategic lever of business competitiveness and a factor for the growth of the territory
Expected results:
- 120 migrants involved in assessment pathways
- 300 stakeholders sensitized on Diversity Management
- 270 stakeholders sensitized on the value of soft skills
- 150 organizations working on migrants’ reception and integration integrated in a community of inclusive working practices
