L'Oréal Italy, 60 years of history and innovation in Piemonte.

L'Oréal Group boasts a historic presence in Italy, where it has been active since 1908. Today L'Oréal Italia is present in all the main distribution channels: from hairdressing salons to perfumeries, from pharmacies to large-scale retail trade, with an offer of leading brands in many market segments, such as body, face and hair care and fragrances.

The project in Piemonte

Inaugurated in 1960, with more than 60 years of presence in the area, the Settimo Torinese plant (nearby Torino) is one of the Group’s most important in Europe. It is among the top L'Oréal production plants in Europe and among the top 10 in the world. This hub produces make-up and haircare lines and boasts numerous awards for the excellence of the production L'Oréal Paris and Maybelline NY mascaras and powders and for Garnier, L'Oréal Paris and Frank Provost shampoos and conditioners, all products distributed in many countries. At Settimo, as well as in all L'Oréal factories and offices around the world, respect for the environment goes hand in hand with attention to workplace safety, employees’ health and social inclusion. The plant, since 2015, is powered by 100% renewable energy, mainly hydroelectric. Since January 2018 it has been a "waterloop factory", i.e. a production site that consumes water solely as a raw material in products and not for other uses.
