Contenuti Principali

Valorize High Skilled Migrants (VHSM) aims at highlighting the importance of soft skills on the labour market for the competitiveness of enterprises and for employability of people, mainly high skilled-ones.

The focus of the project is on migrants, both European and non-European. Medium-high skilled migrants generally have the so-called soft skills which are required by companies, but they are not always in a position to valorize and promote them adeguately. This is also due to the fact that such skills may be culturally-oriented and they are under-estimated by migrants who have to pay more attention to emergency problems related to their immigration story. However the theme concerms any human resources and companies in any country.

The aim of VHSM is to encourage the exchange of ideas and good practices on how to map, evaluate, train and promote those soft skills which are more requested on the labour market, among the partner countries: Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden. Unfortunately there is no consensus at a European level either on what softs skills really are, or how to describe and classify them.

Objectives and actions

- To strengthen the link between assessment of competences, training actions and insertion into the labor market for medium/high-skilled immigrants
- To map out the Soft Skills considered mostly important by companies as a factor of competitiveness and of employability for human resources (quality research to companies and other stakeholders on the labour market)
- To develop new pedagogic molels to evaluate, strenghten and promote candidates' soft skills
- To experiment the models developed on a target group of medium-high skilled migrants in each partner country
