HYVA
Hyva invests in Piemonte and chooses Deepware’s electrification solutions.
The Dutch group Hyva - world leader in the supply of innovative and efficient solutions for transport and environmental services solutions - has decided to setup core competence in digital innovation in Piemonte by acquiring the majority shares of Deepware, a start-up based in Torino. Founded in 2019, Deepware implements Artificial Intelligence software for the automotive field and has contributed to important projects such as the electric Ducato by Stellantis.
The project in Piemonte
The desire to integrate electrical design within its commercial offer is at the origin of the acquisition of Deepware which was fully incorporated by Hyva, both in the activities related to the traditional business - from commercial vehicles such as cranes and tippers, to components for construction sites and commercial - and in new strategic projects related to technology for electrification of battery electric vehicles. For 2023, with a close to € 1 million investment and the expected hiring of 8 new resources, Hyva has entrusted Deepware with the design and development of e-powertrain systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System) to be applied to its commercial vehicles.
Highly qualified engineering resources, a complete and consolidated supply chain, a dynamic and participatory environment: these are some of the reasons that led Hyva to the decision to acquire a promising reality like Deepware and to invest in Piemonte, opening its first R&D centre in Torino.
Piemonte Agency's support
From September 2022, Piemonte Agency has been assisting Hyva/Deepware with constant and highly qualified support which has allowed the investor to identify incentives for R&D, recruit specialized personnel attending an advanced training course financed by the Regione Piemonte (Regional Authority) and launch collaborations with the academic system based in Torino.
